SIXTH GRADE BASIC SUPPLIES

Suggestion: Visit a dollar store for inexpensive supplies.

GENERAL SUPPLIES FOR ALL CLASSES

  • 24 (or more) #2 sharpened pencils
  • 6 (or more) black or blue pens
  • 1 box of tissues (bring to 1st period class)
  • Earbuds or headphones (inexpensive; to be left at school)
  • One binder (1-inch)
  • One sturdy pocket folder with 3-hole punches
  •  Pencil Pouch

MATH

  • One blue pocket folder
  • Calculator (suggested: TI-30X IIS)
  • One spiral bound notebook
  • Glue stick

SCIENCE

  • One green pocket folder

SOCIAL STUDIES

  • No supplies needed

ENGLISH

  • Two packs of 3×5 note cards
  • One black pocket folder
  • One composition notebook

MUSIC

  • One 2-pocket folder

ART

  • One 9” x 12” spiral bound sketchbook (to be used throughout middle school)

HEALTH

  • No supplies needed

BUSINESS

  • Two pocket folders

LOCKERS

All student belongings must be kept locked in student lockers.

Do not purchase backpacks with wheels—they do not fit in middle school lockers.

If you choose to purchase locker shelves, make sure they are adjustable.
Locker dimensions: 10 inches by 10 inches. Standard metal shelves or locker ladders do not fit, may cause the door to jam and may damage the locker.
Backpacks with wheels do not fit.

SEVENTH GRADE BASIC SUPPLIES

GENERAL SUPPLIES FOR ALL CLASSES

  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Pens/pencils
  • 2 boxes of tissues (bring to 1st period class)
  • Highlighter
  • Colored pencils or markers
  • 1 pack of dividers (suggested: tab dividers with pockets)
  • 1½ inch binder to use as a take-home folder
  • Headphones (inexpensive)

ENGLISH

  • Marble composition notebook
  • Single subject notebook

MATH

  • One-subject, 100-sheet spiral notebook, with pocket (preferably college ruled; suggested: 5-Star Notebook)
  • Scientific calculator (suggested: TI-30XIIS)
  • Six pack of glue sticks

SCIENCE

  • No supplies needed

SOCIAL STUDIES

  • One pack of 3×3 sticky notes
  • One-subject, 100-sheet spiral notebook, with pocket (preferably college ruled; suggested: 5-Star Notebook)
  • 6-12 pack of glue sticks

GENERAL MUSIC

  • Pocket folder with clasps and loose-leaf paper
  • Pencil
  • Earbuds

FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE (FACS)

  • One package of gallon-sized bags
  • One yard of cotton fabric (student’s choice)

HEALTH

  • No supplies needed

SPANISH

  • One two-inch binder
  • 6-8 dividers
  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Index cards
  • Earbuds/headphones

ART

  • One spiral-bound sketchbook (8.5” x 11” or 9” x 12”)*
  • Black Sharpie markers (fine and ultra-fine, optional)
  • 12″ ruler (to have at home)
  • Pencils to keep in the art room in student portfolio

*Students who stored their 6th grade sketchbooks in the art room will reuse them. Students who took them home or used them up will need a new one.

RESOURCE ROOM

  • Two 1-inch binders
  • Two folders
  • 12 pencils and 12 pens

Note: Bring the following general supplies during Locker Afternoon and drop them off to Mrs. Glisson or Mrs. Kramer ‘s classroom.

  • 1 bottle Elmer’s Glue
  • 1 piece black or white poster board
  • 1 tri-fold poster board
  • 1 roll Scotch tape

Math 8

  • One 1-inch 3-ring binder
