Months of rehearsal, planning, and collaboration paid off for Voorheesville Dionysians as “Hadestown: Teen Edition” earned Outstanding Musical, Tier B, at the High School Musical Theatre Awards.
The ceremony was held May 16 at Proctors and brought together schools from across the Capital Region to celebrate excellence in student theater. The event mirrors the style of the Tony Awards and included live performances and presentations.
The Outstanding Musical award recognizes not only the performances on stage but also the work behind the scenes. Students dedicated long hours to music preparation, choreography, set construction, lighting, and costuming. Directors and staff guided the production from early planning through final performances.
