We are pleased to share that two Voorheesville high school student artists were chosen to be honored by Congressman Paul Tonko for their submissions into the Congressional Art Competition. Juniors Katarina Hrazdina and Melissa Travis were among the 24 students representing nine schools that had their artwork on display at The Arts Center of the Capital Region.

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the Artistic Discovery competition began in 1982, more than 670,000 high school students have participated.
