The Addictions Care Center of Albany (ACCA) Prevention Team will be conducting an interactive and informative workshop for parents at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Voorheesville High School. This presentation will help parents identify and understand the signs and dangers of vaping, dabbing and other drug use, even if they don’t suspect that their child might be using. There will also be a demonstration of hiding places (scavenger hunt) within a teen’s bedroom from which parents will receive information about why and when to search, how the items are being used, and how to have a conversation with their child regarding their concerns. Additional resources will be available, and participation is encouraged. For more information, please call 518-465-5829.
