New Spectator Guidelines for Winter Athletic Events 2021-2022

With the winter athletics season upon us, the Colonial Council Conference is continuing to take precautions to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. If you plan on attending a game in person, please view the spectator guidelines of the school hosting the game. We have provided the information below. 

The Albany Academies

We are excited to welcome back spectators to our indoor athletic contests this academic year. Below outlines important considerations for your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our greater Academies community. The Albany Academies reserves the right to require more stringent COVID-19 protocols for the safety of our community. The Albany Academies are committed to promoting a safe campus environment. Failure to comply with current guidelines may result in removal from the building or facility.  

All spectators must attest to the following:

  • I have not tested positive nor been presumed by a medical professional to be COVID-19 positive in the last 14 days. 
  • I do not currently, nor have I within the last 14 days, had any of the following symptoms: fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, cough or muscle aches. 
  • I have not been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive or been presumed to have Covid-19 within the past 14 days. 
  • I have not traveled outside the United States of America within the past 14 days 

All spectators must adhere to the following facilities capacity and behavior guidelines: 

  • Spectators will be limited to approximately 50% seating capacity as follows. 
    • AAG Gym – Basketball: 150  
    • AA Gym – Basketball and Wrestling: 240 
    • Ice Rink – Ice Hockey: 240 
    • Pool – Swimming and Diving: 120 
    • Squash Courts – Squash: 24 SRO 
    • Only two nonfamilial spectators or up to four family members are allowed per participant at each contest. Spectators will always maintain a distance of at least three feet from others that are not in their family or pod.  
    • Spectators must sign in at the athletic contest for contact tracing purposes. Contact information and all group member information must be entered properly. 
    • Masks are required to be worn covering the nose and mouth at all times by all spectators.  
    • Spectators will not interact with players, coaches or game personnel during the contest.  
    • DO NOT bring food of any kind. Food and/or drink will not be permitted in the competition facilities (excluding water for players and coaches). Concession stands may be available.  

    LaSalle Institute

    • LaSalle will be permitting two tickets per participating athlete (preferably parents) to attend athletic contests.
    • A list of those individuals will also need to be submitted prior to the game so they can be appropriately checked in upon arrival.
    • The restrictions will continue to be evaluated on a daily basis and any changes will be communicated.

    Lansingburgh

    • Masks are required to be worn by all spectators at all times while inside the school building.
    • There will be NO food or drinks allowed in the gym during games/contests (excluding water for players, coaches, and officials).
    • A concession stand will be available in the gym lobby and all food and drink must be consumed in the gym lobby only.
    • Spectators will always maintain a distance of at least three feet from others that are not in their family or pod.
    • Lansingburgh basketball home games will be live-streamed via the Lansingburgh Athletics YouTube channel.

    Cohoes, Mohonasen, Schalmont & Ravena

    • No spectator limits at this time
    • Masks are required to be worn at all times by all spectators.  
    • Spectators will not interact with players, coaches or game personnel during the contest. 
    • Food and/or drink will not be permitted in the competition facilities (excluding water for players and coaches). Concession stands may be available, but food or drink must be consumed in the designated area.               

       Cobleskill- Richmondville

      • Masks are required to be worn by all spectators at all times while inside the school building.
      • There will be NO food or drinks allowed in the gym during games/contests (excluding water for players, coaches, and officials).
      • A concession stand will be available in the gym lobby/cafeteria and all food and drink must be consumed in the gym lobby/cafeteria only.
      • Spectators will always maintain a distance of at least three feet from others that are not in their family or pod.
      • CR basketball home games will be live streamed via the CR YouTube channel

      Gardner -Dickinson Middle School

      Ichabod Crane

      • All winter sports will be offered and spectators will be permitted to attend during regular season and postseason games.  **This could change if % positive #’s continue to rise **
      • Each student athlete may have up to four spectators attend competitions at Ichabod Crane and those individuals will be seated together
      • For home basketball games, seating will be organized by home, visitor and student sections.
      • Face masks covering both the mouth and nose will be required for all spectators regardless of vaccination status
      • There will be NO Food or Drinks Allowed in the Gym during games/contests (excluding water for players, coaches, and officials).
      • A concession stand will be available in the gym lobby/cafeteria and all food and drink must be consumed in the gym lobby/cafeteria only.
      • Home competitions will also be live streamed for free on the ICSN YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuFAEbZjkklSIcNGFOv8uPQ

      Holy Names

      • Masks will be worn at all times in the building, and will cover the mouth, nose, and chin.
      • Each athlete will be permitted three spectators into home events, they will sign in upon admission to the contest. 
      • Locker rooms will be available for teams and officials.
      • Concession stand will be available with prepackaged snacks and candy to be eaten in the lobby.
      • No food or drinks are permitted in the gym, excluding Athletes on the bench.
      • Games will be streamed live via the school’s YouTube channel. 

      Catholic Central

      • No spectator limits at this time
      • Masks are required to be worn at all times by all spectators.  
      • Spectators will not interact with players, coaches or game personnel during the contest.  
      • No Food or Drink permitted in the gym water for players, coaches, and officials only.
      • Games will be live streamed through our schools YouTube page. 
      • No concession stand will be available.
      • No Locker rooms available for away teams at this time. 

      Voorheesville

      As the winter sport season rapidly approaches we wanted to make you aware of the Spectator Policy that will be in place for the 2021-2022 winter season. The items below are subject to change.

      • Masks are required indoors at all times
      • No concessions and/or food will be served
      • Families/groups are asked to sit together
      • Families/groups should maintain three feet of social distancing from other families/groups
      • Spectators will be limited to 25% capacity

      The capacity limits are as follows:

      • High School Gymnasium 362 People
      • Middle School Gymnasium 235 People
      • Swimming Pool 75 People
