Hadestown is coming this way.

Presented by the Voorheesville Dionysians, Hadestown will bring myth, music and storytelling to the stage of the VCSD/Lydia C. Tobler Performing Arts Center Performing Arts Center, March 20-22.

Set in a world where gods and mortals share the stage, the story follows the young dreamer Orpheus and the independent Eurydice as they fall in love. When hardship leads Eurydice to the industrial underworld ruled by Hades, Orpheus journeys below ground to win her freedom with the power of his music. Along the way, audiences encounter the troubled marriage of Hades and Persephone and a chorus of workers who question whether hope can survive in a harsh world.

Hadestown: Teen Edition, is the youth adaptation of the Tony Award–winning musical Hadestown by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell.
