Shape Tomorrow’s Talent: Join Our Workforce Development Initiative

Clayton A. Bouton High School is excited to pilot a revitalized workforce development initiative. This program connects students with real-world career experiences and introduces them to mentorship, skill development and hands-on learning in partnership with local employers.

We are seeking business partners who share our vision of preparing students for meaningful, in-demand careers right here in the Capital Region. Through your partnership, students can gain mentorship and internship opportunities that build critical 21st-century skills while helping you connect with motivated, locally trained future employees.

Our goal is for students to graduate college and career ready, equipped with the skills, experiences and relationships to thrive in your industry. We would love to meet with you to discuss how your organization can be part of this exciting initiative.

How you can help:

Are you able to partner with us in preparing eager high school students for careers in our community? We would like to offer the following experiences to students:

  • Job shadowing: In this option, a student follows an employee at a workplace for one to eight hours to learn about an occupation or career pathway of interest.
  • Community service and volunteering: Students participate in volunteer experiences that teach responsibility, community involvement and awareness of the needs of others.

We deeply value your time and expertise. We are eager to build on whatever you are able to commit to, understanding that your level of involvement may change over time.

We have put together a quick survey to capture who might be interested in getting involved. Use this link to access the survey.
