2025-26 School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election – May 20

Tuesday, May 20, 2025 is the date of the 2025-26 School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election.

Voting will take place in the Middle School foyer from 2:30 to 9 p.m.

Proposed 2025-26 school budget – at a glance

Proposed Budget: $34,525,250

Increase from 2024-25 budget: $42,884 / 0.12%

Tax Levy Increase: $22,253,153 / 5.97%

Also on the ballot

In addition to the proposed 2025-26 budget, the community will vote on the following:

Bus Proposal

Voters will also consider a proposition to purchase two 72-passenger diesel school buses as part of its regular replacement of its transportation fleet at a cost of $371,000. State aid would fund approximately $201,528 or 64.8% and $169,472 or 35.2% would come from the local share, which would be paid over a five-year period.

Bus Purchase Reserve Fund

Voters will also consider a proposition to create a reserve fund dedicated to the future purchase of school buses, vehicles and transportation-related equipment.

Board of Education Election

Additionally, voters will elect two candidates, each for a four-year term that begins July 1.

Voter information

To be eligible to vote, residents must live in the school district for at least 30 days prior to the May 20, 2025 election, be at least 18 years of age and be a citizen of the United States.
