Sadie Munro and Dominic Tillou sit next to Meneely bell in high school lobby. As the Class of 2026 prepares to take its next steps, its top two students are setting out on exciting journeys, each shaped by years of hard work, leadership and curiosity.

Dominic Tillou, this year’s valedictorian, plans to head straight into mechanical engineering studies at Rochester Institute of Technology.  Sadie Munro, the class salutatorian, will take a gap year to work in order to fund internship and travel opportunities before attending the University of South Carolina in fall 2027. Together, they represent both the shared strength and the diverse paths of Voorheesville’s graduating class.

Tillou leaves Voorheesville with a well-rounded high school experience that blends academics and the arts. His interests span chorus, AP English Language and AP Calculus. He has taken on multiple leadership roles, serving as president of the Voorheesville Dionysians drama club, vice president of the Sexuality and Gender Alliance and editor-in-chief of the Blackbird Review. He is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Munro’s academic interests have been Spanish, math and chemistry. She has also played a key role in the school community. She serves as class treasurer and president of the International Community Service Club while also competing on the girls varsity soccer and lacrosse teams.

Both students share a commitment to growth, leadership and making the most of their opportunities.

As Voorheesville celebrates the Class of 2026, Tillou and Munro stand as examples of what students can achieve. Their accomplishments, along with those of their classmates, reflect the district’s mission to provide all students a strong foundation of knowledge and experiences in a safe and supportive environment, preparing them to be productive members of a global society and to value lifelong learning.
