Lelaina Elizabeth Beauregard is the Class of 2022 Valedictorian at Clayton A. Bouton High School.
Over the course of her high school career, Lelaina has been heavily involved in the arts, participating in the Capital District Youth Chorale, as well as student directing for the middle school musical and being an officer in the high school Drama Club. She is also a part of the Key Club, Science Olympiad, and has taken charge of the Tutoring Tuesdays program for the Voorheesville elementary school.
Lelaina has done all this while balancing a rigorous course load, including many APs, doubling up on math and history classes her sophomore and senior year, and taking German college classes at night to prepare her for her eleventh-grade year in Germany. Despite taking all her classes in a new country and in a new language for a year, she passed each with straight As (even taking the SAT in Germany).
Lelaina is looking forward to joining Central Michigan University and majoring in math and German secondary education in the fall.
