Mar. 3 | Two members of the HS community test positive for COVID

The district learned about two new positive cases of COVID-19 in our school community on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

  • The district was informed that two individuals associated with the high school tested positive for COVID-19.
    • In one case, there was no exposure at the high school.
    • In the other case, there was potential exposure at the high school. Affected individuals will be contacted by the district and/or Albany County DOH.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

The district continues to follow all prevention protocols in accordance with guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and CDC — this includes a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all school buildings. All schools remain open for in-person instruction.
