Feb. 16 | Member of the Elementary School community tests positive for COVID

The district learned about a new positive case of COVID-19 in our school community on Monday, February 15, 2021.

  • The district was informed that an individual associated with the elementary school tested positive for COVID-19.
    • Based on information from the Albany County Department of Health, there was possible exposure at the school. Preliminary contact tracing calls have been made.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

The district continues to follow all prevention protocols in accordance with guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and CDC — this includes a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all school buildings.

This will be the only COVID-19 notification during Winter Break. Any other positive cases will be sent out the Monday after break.
