Feb. 3 | Member of HS community tests positive for COVID

The district learned about a new positive case of COVID-19 in our school community on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

  • The district was informed that an individual associated with the high school tested positive for Covid-19.
    • Based on preliminary information from the Albany County Department of Health and the person's last date of attendance, no other individuals from the high school need to quarantine at this time.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

The district continues to follow all prevention protocols in accordance with guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and CDC — this includes a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all school buildings. All schools remain open for in-person instruction.

Please reach out to your child’s principal if you have any questions.
