Jan. 25 | Members of the School Community Test Positive for COVID-19

Dear Voorheesville families,

The district learned about a new positive case of COVID-19 in our school community on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

  • The district was informed that an individual associated with the high school tested positive for COVID-19.
    • Based on information from the Albany County Department of Health, no other individuals from the high school need to quarantine at this time.

  • The district was informed that an individual associated with the high school tested positive for COVID-19.
    • Based on information from the Albany County Department of Health, no other individuals from the high school need to quarantine at this time.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

The district continues to follow all prevention protocols in accordance with guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and CDC — this includes a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all school buildings. All schools will remain open for in-person instruction.
