Jan. 11 | Member of the School Community Test Positive for COVID-19
The district learned about an additional positive case of COVID-19 in our school community on Monday, January 11th.
The district was informed that an individual associated with the elementary school tested positive for Covid-19.
The individual has not been in the district since the holiday break. As a result, there are no school contacts related to this case.
A reminder, due to staff shortage, grades 9-12 only will be fully remote starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12 through Friday, January 15. Tuesday, January 19 will be the return to the high school’s hybrid schedule with grade 11 in-person (B-Day).
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.
The district continues to follow all prevention protocols in accordance with guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and CDC — this includes a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all school buildings. All schools will remain open for in-person instruction.
