Jan. 6 | Member of the School Community Test Positive for COVID-19

The district learned about a new positive case of COVID-19 in our school community today, January 6th.

  • An individual associated with the transportation department has tested positive for Covid-19.
    • The individual showed symptoms over the holiday break and has not been in the building since. As a result, there are no school contacts related to this case.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict the district from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

The district continues to follow all prevention protocols in accordance with guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and CDC — this includes a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all school buildings. All schools will remain open for in-person instruction.

Please reach out to your child’s principal if you have any questions.
