Meet the Class of 2020 valedictorian and salutatorian

Voorheesville Central School recently announced its two top scholars for the class of 2020. Renee Bogdany is the valedictorian, and Julia Francis is the salutatorian.

2020 salutatorian

Renee Bogdany, daughter of Richard and Mary Bogdany, has been named Valedictorian of the Class of 2020 at Clayton A. Bouton High School.

Renee has a natural curiosity for learning. She is continuously learning about what she does not know and questions why things are the way they are. Renee is an intelligent and hardworking student who has performed exceptionally well in a demanding curriculum of Honors, AP and College in the High School coursework.

Outside the classroom, Renee has contributed to her community through her lifelong involvement in athletics. Renee’s unwavering commitment to her soccer and basketball teams has resulted in success in both sports.

Renee will study human-centered computing at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall.

2020 valedictorian

Julia Francis, daughter of Skip and Dianne Francis, has been named Salutatorian of the Class of 2020 at Clayton A. Bouton High School.

Julia is a loyal and compassionate young lady. She is also a hardworking and curious student who has found much success in the classroom.

Julia has participated in our school’s volleyball program for the past six years. Her love for the sport has grown exponentially throughout the years, and the bonds she has formed with her teammates was something she enjoyed best. Julia is involved in a variety of community service activities and organizations like Key Club and enjoys helping many different people.

Julia will study nursing at The University of Rhode Island in the fall.
